Lithuanian Business Delegation Met with Vietnam’s Business Associations

On Friday, 13 June, EuroCham collaborated with the Lithuanian Embassy based in Singapore to organise a series of meetings between Vietnamese business organisations and the Lithuanian business delegation in Ha Noi. 

Lithuania’s Vice Minister of Agriculture Mr. Gediminas Tamasauskis, Chief of international affairs – Ministry of Agriculture Mr. Antanas Venckus, the president of Vietnam – Lithuania Chamber of Commerce – Mr. Ignas Petrusis, and Commercial Attache – Mr. Arunas Karlonas from Embassy of Lithuania participated in meetings with:   

  • Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprise (VINASME) 
  • Vietnam Alcohol – Beer – Beverage Association (VBA) 
  • Ha Noi Young Business Association (Ha Noi BA) 
  • Vietnam Electronic Industries Association (VEIA) 

Meeting with Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Exterprise (VINA SME) 

The full day of meetings began at VINA SME’s office in Ha Noi. Welcoming the Lithuanian business delegation were:  

  • Mr. To Hoai Nam – Standing Vice Chair cun General Secretary of VINA SME.   
  • Mr. Nguyen Van Tu – Member of Standing Committee, Chief of Office   
  • Ms Nguyen Thi Lan Huong – Member of the Standing Committee, editor director of magazine Enterprise and Integration   
  • Mr. Tran Van Hien – Deputy Board Training and Member 

Building on the spirit of cooperation and the recently signed bilateral MoU, the meeting featured in-depth discussions on the business landscape between Lithuania and Vietnam, with a particular focus on addressing the global food security crisis.  
 
The Lithuanian delegation shared several key proposals:  

  • Enhance business connections, investment, and export-import cooperation between the two countries.  
  • Position Lithuania as a gateway for Vietnamese goods to enter the European market.  
  • Seek institutional support and legal facilitation for Lithuanian businesses operating in Vietnam.  

VINA SME expressed full support for these initiatives and looks forward to further collaborative exchanges in the near future. 

Meeting with Vietnam Alcohol – Beer – Beverage Association (VBA) 

Wrapping up the first meeting with mutual support, the Lithuanian business delegation attended the second meeting at VBA’s office. Welcoming the delegation were:  

  • Mr. Luong Xuan Dung – Chief of VBA Office,  
  • Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet – Head of VBA Policy Planning Department  
  • Ms. Nguyen Thi Lieu – General Secretary of VBA Office,  
  • Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Nga – Head of Communications of Vietnam Beverage Magazine 

During the meeting, Vice Minister Tamasauskis expressed his sincere gratitude to VBA for the opportunity to engage in this exchange and for potential future collaboration. Both sides discussed the beverage market landscapes of their respective countries, highlighting shared characteristics, market challenges, and mutual interests. The Lithuanian delegation expressed a strong interest in exploring the openness of the Vietnamese market for Lithuanian exporters.  

VBA affirmed its commitment to supporting Lithuanian enterprises seeking opportunities in Vietnam and expressed optimism for future cooperation.  

Meetings with Ha Noi Young Business Association (Ha Noi BA) and Viet Nam Electronic Industries Association (VEIA)
