EuroCham Met with Egyptian Business Delegation

On 19 January 2026, EuroCham welcomed an Egyptian delegation participating in a UNIDO-implemented and European Union-funded project at our office in Hanoi. This meeting was part of an experience-sharing and fact-finding mission supporting Egypt’s ongoing efforts to enhance its national investment climate, industrial development strategy, and policy implementation capacity.

The meeting welcomed distinguished guests, including Mr. Anders Isaksson, Chief at Division of Industrial Policy Advice and Capacity Development – UNIDO Vienna Headquarter; Mr. Christoph Graeser, Industrial Policy Analyst – UNIDO Vienna Headquarter; Senior officials from Egypt’s Ministry of Industry; along with representatives from Vietnam’s relevant Ministries.

Representing EuroCham Vietnam, Vice-Chair Minh Nguyen and Head of Hanoi Office cum External Relations Manager Van Nguyen explained how the chamber informs regulatory adjustments and administrative reforms in areas critical to foreign investors. They highlighted EuroCham’s active consolidation of member feedback and effective channelling of their concerns and recommendations to relevant ministries, government agencies, and policy‑making bodies.

In addition, the discussion covered recent developments in Vietnam’s legal and regulatory framework, along with the latest sentiments of European businesses operating in Vietnam recorded in EuroCham’s quarterly Business Confidence Index (BCI).

EuroCham is pleased to share practical lessons at the organisational level from Vietnam that may be relevant for Egypt as it continues to strengthen its investment promotion policies and industrial development ecosystem.
