On 25 November, Mr. Yves Vanderstraeten, Vice-Chair of the Digital Sector Committees under EuroCham Vietnam participated in the “Empowering Digital Economy Growth in the New Era” forum organised by Vietnam Investment Review.
Representing the European business community in the panel discussion titled “New Motivations for Digital Economy”, Mr. Vanderstraeten highlighted Vietnam’s progress in digital transformation, including improvements in the Digital Transformation Index and the UN e-Government Development Index, while noting the need for greater consistency in data quality, online public services, and cybersecurity.
He also outlined opportunities in e-commerce, fintech, advanced manufacturing, green digital technologies, and digital infrastructure and emphasised that coherent implementation of recent regulations will be essential to strengthening Vietnam’s innovation-driven digital economy.
