Canal+ International (before known as Canal+ Overseas) is the Canal + Group subsidiary for international markets and French overseas departments and territories. Canal+ International is providing satellite Pay-TV channels all over the world: in some 40 countries of sub-Saharan Africa, the Indian Ocean, the Caribbean, the South Pacific areas and in Vietnam. Besides broadcasting TV channels, Canal+ International also owns and operates around 10 channels, adapted to some markets such as French Overseas territories, Africa and Vietnam. Canal+ International has entered the Vietnamese market with the set up in May 2009 of VSTV, a joint-venture with the Vietnamese national television VTV, operating under the commercial brand K+.
VSTV is the first French-Vietnamese joint-venture in the broadcasting sector, under the operational management of Canal+ International. Broadcasting nearly 170 Direct-to-Home TV channels in digital quality across Vietnam, K+ operates 05 home-edited channels: K+Sport 1, K+ Sport 2, K+ Cine, K+ Kids, K+ Life.
