In Vietnam, Allens is a leading international law firm. Our Hanoi office was the first licensed office of any foreign law firm in Hanoi (opening in 1993), with our Ho Chi Minh City office subsequently opening in 1997. Since then, we have acted on many of Vietnam's most important large-scale projects and commercial transactions.

In Ho Chi Minh City, our Partners are Robert Fish and Linh Bui. Robert has worked extensively on cross-border financing, foreign investment and M&A deals into Vietnam for the past 13 years. Linh focuses on cross-border M&A transactions for foreign investors, including private equity investors, and has particular expertise in competition/antitrust law.

In Hanoi, our partners Melissa Keane and Giles Cooper specialise in all aspects of large-scale energy and infrastructure projects – including project development, financing, acquisition and construction. Key recent work includes advising on all aspects of Vietnam's largest foreign invested project - the $9 billion Nghi Son Oil Refinery, as well as advising multinational companies, international private equity investors and financiers, and leading regional and Vietnamese companies on their investments across a range of renewable energy projects coming to market in Vietnam.
