Following EuroCham’s mission to Brussels in October 2018, EU Trade Commissioner Ms Cecilia Malmstom has praised EuroCham’s efforts to promote the ratification of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) in a letter this week.
In her letter, Commissioner Malmstom provided an update on the status of the EVFTA: the agreement is now in the hands of the Council, which is undertaking work that will allow for the signature of the agreement in the coming months. Commissioner Malmstrom also said that she will continue to count on EuroCham’s insight on the developments taking place on the ground in Vietnam, showing the success of our recent missions to Brussels and our engagement with Europe.
