On 9 December 2025, the Blue-Green Cities & Industries Working Group (BGCI WG) of EuroCham’s Green Growth Sector Committee (GGSC) convened meetings with the Ministry of Construction (MOC) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MAE) in Hanoi. The dialogues brought together representatives from the private sector and key governmental institutions to strengthen collaboration on sustainable urban and industrial development.
Representing EuroCham Vietnam were Mr. Frank Pogade, GGSC’s Vice-Chair & Co-Chair of Blue-Green Cities & Industries Working Group and Ms. Van Nguyen, Head of Hanoi Office cum. External Relations Manager.
Across the discussions, a key focus was the ongoing development of the Draft Law on Water Drainage and Supply, alongside discussions on priority areas where foreign businesses can contribute innovative solutions. Topics highlighted included: green building certification, treated wastewater use, rainwater collection systems, and the potential application of sponge-city models in Vietnam.
Given the widespread damage caused by recent storms across Vietnam, these discussions were particularly timely – fostering strengthened public–private partnerships in technical expertise, knowledge transfer, and constructive engagement in policy development.
