Air France - Celebrating 88 years since the 1st flight to Vietnam (1930-2018)

On March 9th, 2018, Air France is celebrating the 88th anniversary since the first flight between France and Vietnam took place. Air France began flying to Vietnam 88 years ago with Air Orient, one of the 3 airlines that later merged to found Air France. The 1st flight which took off from Marseille on 9th March, 1930 reached Saigon after three days, making 18 stops.

Air France will be celebrating this milestone with a number of events for customers, especially for passengers travelling from Vietnam on 9th March where the flights will be festively themed.
On Friday Air France will also launch an online contest, ‘My French Trip’ which offers participants a chance to win a trip for 2 on Air France from Vietnam to France to experience their dream French trip by choosing their top five unique French experiences.
