EuroCham Vietnam promotes upcoming Green Economy Forum & Exhibition (GEFE) 2024 at Solar & Storage Live Vietnam 2024

The recent Solar & Storage Live Vietnam 2024 exhibition, held at the SKY EXPO Vietnam International Exhibition Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City on July 10-11, 2024, showcased the latest advancements in Vietnam’s transition to a greener and smarter energy system. As a leading renewable energy exhibition, it brought together key stakeholders, innovators, and disruptors within the energy value chain to highlight critical technologies and solutions. The event focused on rooftop solar for commercial and industrial sectors, large-scale solar, energy storage, smart energy, and EV solutions, featuring over 200 exhibitors and 120 expert speakers.

EuroCham’s involvement took two forms:

  • Promoting GEFE 2024: We had an exhibition stand, which highlighted our upcoming Green Economy Forum & Exhibition (GEFE) 2024, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange in the green economy sector.
  • Expert Panel Participation: Mr. Dinh Nguyen, Vice-Chairman of the EuroCham Vietnam Green Growth Sector Committee and Head of its Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency Working Group, provided insights during a panel on “Change for Green.”

Key Discussion Points:

  • Collaboration and Policy Advocacy: The Green Growth Sector Committee’s collaboration with the Vietnamese government and local companies to promote renewable energy and energy efficiency was emphasised. Recent successes, including large-scale solar and wind projects, were highlighted.
  • Leveraging European Expertise: Mr. Dinh explained how EuroCham and the GGSC facilitate the transfer of European expertise and technology to Vietnamese partners, benefiting local stakeholders. The GGSC’s role in advocating for best practices and addressing market challenges was also noted.
  • Future Prospects: Emerging opportunities for foreign investment in Vietnam’s renewable energy sector were explored. Mr. Dinh advised industry players on capitalising on these opportunities, stressing the importance of private sector investment, government incentives, and auction mechanisms.

EuroCham Vietnam thanks the organisers of Solar & Storage Live Vietnam 2024 for providing a valuable platform to share knowledge, connect with industry leaders, and contribute to the ongoing dialogue about Vietnam’s transition to a more sustainable energy future.
