On 19 and 20 May, EuroCham and its Central Vietnam Chapter delivered two successful activities, related to the Chamber's quarterly programme for Central Vietnam. On this occasion, the EuroCham delegation was larger than usual, including 7 Executive Committee (ExCo) Members and Executive Director Almut Roessner.
The delegation travelled to Danang to engage with local members, authorities and to hold an off-site Board meeting presided by Chairman Jens Ruebbert, with the presence of Vice Chairs Tomaso Andreatta, Vo Quang-Hue, and Gellert Horvath; as well as ExCo Members Stefano Pellegrino, Guy Balza, Soren Roed Pedersen, and Joshua James. The activities were supported on the ground by two of the three EuroCham Central Vietnam (ECV) Delegates: Hoa Ly Bui and Jose Sanchez-Barroso.
19 May, Eurocham Networking Q2: Melia Resort, Danang
EuroCham's Q2 networking event counted on more than 30 attendees and focused on the interaction between members and guests, as well as a presentation on recent EuroCham activities. This event also marked a special occasion, as never before had the Executive Committee travelled to Danang collectively (so far the ExCO had been represented by one member only in ECV activities). This event was a moment of consolidation of the ECV Chapter – which kicked-off in November 2016 -, as local members, guests and ECV Delegates had the possibility to interact with EuroCham's leadership, both from the ExCo, as well as the Secretariat.

20 May, Eurocham ExCo Board-Away Day
The following day, EuroCham ExCo members gathered once more in Danang for an off-site meeting, looking to work on new ideas and direction strategy for EuroCham. This Board-Away Day had the special guest participation of the EU Ambassador H.E. Bruno Angelet. A number of discussions marked the day, including deciding on the "big" topics underlying EuroCham's work for 2017-2018, EVFTA-related action, and other internal goals.

Before the two activities, the EuroCham Chairman and some of the ExCo members also met with the leadership of the Danang Investment Promotion Agency (IPA). The session served to present the new ExCo and discuss cooperation possibilities between the two organisations going forward.
