Today marks another milestone of our Whitebook Dialogue Week 2026, with a high-level audience at the National Assembly of Vietnam. Hosted by National Assembly Vice-Chairman Nguyen Hong Dien, this strategic dialogue arrived at a highly critical time as the National Assembly maps out its roadmap to amend major laws and codes.
Our delegation, led by Chairman Bruno Jaspaert, was joined by EU Ambassador to Vietnam Julien Guerrier, European diplomatic corps delegates, and key European business and sector representatives. Together with our Pharma Group, Green Growth, Wine & Spirit, and Nutritional Foods Group Sector Committees, the session tackled concrete, action-oriented alignment on perfecting legal frameworks to remain deeply relevant for Vietnamese reality yet well matched with international standards and EVFTA commitments.

The discussions focused on minimising legal compliance burdens and enhancing business predictability, focusing on Resolution 57, Resolution 66, and Resolution 72 to build stable regulatory frameworks that drive innovation and high-quality human resource development.
On a sector-specific level, both sides addressed updates across Master Programme on State Administrative Reform, Maritime Code, Customs Law, Law on Environmental Protection, Legal framework on Labour & Healthcare, Law on Pharmacy, the amended draft on the Food Safety Law, and the Special Consumption Tax mechanism.
In the presence of the EU Delegation, European member states, and affiliated European Business Associations, EuroCham reaffirmed our long-term commitment to supporting Vietnam’s sustainable growth and green transition.

The National Assembly welcomed EuroCham’s constructive engagement and industry insights in helping refine the regulatory landscape and attract more European investment projects. Vice-Chairman Dien shared his appreciation for our frequent, consistent engagements in the policy-making processes and confirmed that the National Assembly will continue working closely with relevant internal stakeholders and ministries to study and consider incorporating our insights into upcoming regulatory frameworks.
We extend our sincere thanks to the National Assembly for their warm welcome and highly collaborative spirit. A huge shoutout goes to our members: our dedicated Board of Directors and Sector Committees, Business Associations, and diplomatic friends for bringing such valued expertise to the table.
