Following the signing of the MoU between EuroCham and MOFA: “Foundation for Partnership in Trade and Investment” (26 October 2015), EuroCham has invited our members and organised a delegation to participate the Conference on promoting Foreign Investment, Trade and Tourism in Ninh Thuan province on 29 September 2016. The Conference was co-chaired by leaders of the local Authorities and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with representatives from the Diplomatic Corps, the foreign Business Associations in Vietnam and the local Business Community as invited guests.
Attending the Conference were Mr. Le Hoai Trung – member of the Party Central Committee- Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Konstantin Vnukov – Ambassador of Russia to Vietnam and H.E. Servio S. Samudio B – Ambassador of the Republic of Panama to Vietnam, Representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs, UNESCO Department, representatives of foreign Business Associations in Vietnam.
From Ninh Thuan Province, there were Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh- member of the Party Central Committee-Secretary of the Party Committee of Ninh Thuan Province, Mr. Xuan Vinh- Chairman of People’s Committee, Le Van Binh, Deputy Chairman, comrades of Provincial Standing Committee, Leaders of Departments, agencies and localities.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Party Secretary delivered welcome remarks. He expressed his expectation from this conference that Foreign Diplomatic Delegations in Vietnam and Ministry of Foreign Affairs would continue their interest to help and expand Ninh Thuan’s cooperation in all fields. Ninh Thuan will strengthen the propagation, promotion and introduction of potential, strengths, the landscapes, monuments, historical traditions, the unique long-standing culture of ethnic community in Ninh Thuan in general as well as well-known Kate Festival of the Cham people in particular to international friends in order to call and attract the investment in the province.
Mr. Pham Dong – Director of the Department of Planning and Investment introduced some key features of the potentials and advantages of the locality, direction to “green and clean" model of economic development and the preferential policies to attract investment into the 6 main sectors.
In particular, priority will be areas that have competitive advantage such as renewable energy, high-end resort, high-tech agriculture and the agricultural processing industry, aqua-culture , etc.
