In the afternoon of 7th November 2015, about 1,000 participants, teams’ players, friends, and families gathered at the area of Nguyen Thanh Son - Truong Van Bang Street (District 2), HCMC for the EuroCham Challenge 2015.
For the first time, EuroCham, Prudential and Pulse Active came together to create the EuroCham Challenge – a team-building platform for our members and friends - a combination of athleticism, entertainment and motivation.
A journey of 10 obstacles, challenged all team players not only with their physical strength but also solidarity and coordination skills. All teams strived for coherence from the starting point until the finish line, together overcoming all challenges. It was noticed that the harmonious integration of personal skills and teamwork spirit was the key factor to help the teams successfully accomplish the journey.
Ms. Nicola Connolly, the EuroCham Chairwoman shared: "From my years of experience in HR industry, I have learned that teamwork skills are indispensable in building a sustainable corporate environment, and currently, developing teamwork skills remains a major challenge for many businesses. We are glad to organise this event to support businesses’ efforts in overcoming that challenge.”
Mr. Kristof Claes, a EuroCham Executive Committee member, in charge of event organisation said that: "EuroCham has been organising more than 50 events including meetings, dialogues and seminars annually. This is the first time we organise an outdoor event of this type that attracts such a large number of participants. The event aims to bring benefits to the business community while incorporating plenty of sports and entertainment activities that would interest participants.”
Participants’ families, friends, and guests cheering on the side of the course also enjoyed other activities such as food stalls, kid corners, and mini games.
The award ceremony took place after all teams finished the full itinerary, announcing the three winning teams. The 1st prize belonged to team TOTAL from Total Vietnam Ltd., who achieved the shortest time completing the obstacles course. Team JLT from Jardine Lloyd Thompson Limited won the 2nd prize and team EIS Dragons from European International School won 3rd prize. All the teams, spectators, guests then mingled together in exciting atmosphere with DJ music and a BBQ party.
