Vietnam Business Forum (VBF) Secretariat transitions to Consortium jointly led by EuroCham, AmCham and VCCI on March 1st

For more than a decade, the VBF has served as a not-for-profit, non-political channel for nurturing public-private dialogue with the aim of developing a favorable business environment that attracts domestic and foreign private sector investment and stimulates sustainable economic development in Vietnam.It has done so primarily through specialized working groups as well as general forums preceding the semi-annual Consultative Group Meetings. The objective of the VBF is to provide a public-private dialogue channel to develop a favorable business environment that attracts private sector investment and stimulates sustainable economic growth in Vietnam. The objective of the VBF is to represent and promote the interests of the national and international business community in Vietnam as well as to promote investment and trade between Vietnam and the respective countries/regions.
The new Consortium, led by EuroCham, AmCham and VCCI (VBF Consortium Members) as well as 14 other business organizations (VBF Associate Members) have agreed to establish a new VBF secretariat to take over the coordination function of the private sector side from IFC commencing from March 1st, 2012 in order to continue to provide a platform for constructive dialogue between the business community and the government of Vietnam. The VBF Secretariat will be based at EuroCham office in Hanoi, and operated by one VBF Secretariat Officer.
