The one-day training workshop aims to provide practical information and updates concerning REACH with Vietnamese exporters trading with EU companies, focusing on the “pre-registration”, as the 6-month pre-registration period of EU REACH Regulation is now current until 1st December 2008.  EU REACH experts will describe the current status of pre-registration in the EU, typical mistakes of pre-registration and what EU importers practically expect from exporters. They will also answer specific questions that Vietnamese exporters are currently facing. In addition, a guest has been invited from the Ministry of Industry, Thailand to talk about the current situation in Thailand and how exporters in the neighboring country deal with this new EU chemicals regulation.

This training workshop is organized by the Directorate for Standards and Quality (STAMEQ) and UNIDO, funded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), with supports from Ministry of Industry & Trade and EuroCham to be held in Hanoi on 13 and HCMC on 16 October 2008.
