VIETNAM BUSINESS CLIMATE OUTLOOK 2010 / 2011
Vietnam has overcome the global recession in 2009 better than other Southeast Asian economies, and is forecasted to grow 6.5 percent in 2010 and 6.8 percent in 2011. 2011 will be a key year, as Vietnam will implement the new socio-economic development plan for 2011-2015, with a focus on efficiency to enable Vietnam to integrate deeper into the regional and global value chains. To attract large inflows of foreign direct investment in 2010/2011, the government is committed to maintain macroeconomic stability and improve education, infrastructure and the regulatory framework. At this special business briefing, we will discuss the current business climate and the outlook for 2011: What are the prospects and which policy choices have to be made to make Vietnam an even more attractive investment destination?
